A2ii-IAIS Supervisory Dialogue on Suptech and Regtech
Insurance Suptech and Regtech are two emerging fields that are transforming the insurance industry by leveraging technology to enhance regulatory compliance and supervisory oversight.
Insurance Suptech refers to the use of technology to improve regulatory compliance and supervisory functions in the insurance industry. This can include the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to analyze large amounts of data and detect potential compliance issues or fraud. It can also involve the use of digital platforms and tools to streamline reporting processes and reduce administrative burdens on insurers and regulators.
Regtech, on the other hand, refers to the use of technology to enhance regulatory compliance across various industries, including insurance. This can involve the use of advanced analytics and data management tools to ensure compliance with complex regulations and reporting requirements. Regtech can also help insurers automate compliance processes, reduce errors, and improve the speed and accuracy of reporting.
On 23 November, a Supervisory Dialogue on Suptech and Regtech will take place. It will take place in MS Teams from 13:00 to 14:00 CET. French and Spanish simultaneous interpretation will be available.
