The seminar is tailored to the needs of mid-to senior level insurance supervisors and will cover international standards and national practices of supervisors related to sound governance and risk management principles in their legislative framework. With the aim of strengthening regulatory and supervisory capacity, the seminar also aims to provide a platform to share country specific supervisory knowledge and experiences in this domain. In addition, the seminar will focus on reinsurance as a means of risk management. The training seminar is hosted by the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority NAMFISA in partnership with the Financial Stability Institute and supported by the IAIS and A2ii.
