The first pilot of the training “Capacity Building for Insurance Supervisors - Leveraging Actuarial Skills” in the SSA will take place from 11-15 February 2019 in Mauritius. The in-person training will be followed by a series of webinars to deepen some of the training content and provide supervisors with continued opportunities for peer learning

This is the 1st of a new series of trainings jointly developed by the A2ii, IAIS and IAA. Future trainings will be held in Trinidad and Indonesia. The training aims at strengthening the understanding and application of the actuarial concepts and tools needed to support effective insurance supervision and regulation. For more information about the training, visit the project's page.

The focus and approach of the training will be on teaching principles while making the training as practical and simple as possible.
